User experience improvements and optimization to the existing integrated development environment of the HALCON image processing software.

About the Project
The image processing software HALCON is used in the industry, worldwide in various fields e.g. agriculture, automotive & robotics, electronics & solar, nutrition and more. The users of the software are developers with technical background.

The task of the UX designer is to optimize the UX side of the software and to integrate new features into the software in a user-friendly way.The team consisted of one UX designer (me), 12 development engineers and one productowner.

User tests and workshops (e.g. Design Sprint, Persona Workshop) were conducted to identify optimization potentials and based on this, concepts were developed that are aligned for the target group and their use cases. User feedback was elaborated using design thinking methods and then implementedFor the development of the UX topics, the User Centered Design process was used.
